My Chemical Romance will perform 'The Black Parade' in full during 2025 tour: See dates

Welcome back to "The Black Parade."
On Tuesday, one day after teasing an upcoming announcement, My Chemical Romance revealed the band will be embarking on a 2025 stadium tour to perform their beloved 2006 album, "The Black Parade," in full.
"Love Live": The Black Parade North American Tour will kick off in Seattle on July 11 and stop in cities including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto and Chicago before concluding in Tampa, Florida, on Sept. 13. Each show will have a different supporting act, with a lineup that includes Death Cab for Cutie, Alice Cooper, Wallows, Devo and Evanescence.
MCR appeared to drop even more hints about the upcoming tour in their social media post, which included a video of a so-called "great dictator" going out on a balcony to see his subjects in a seemingly dystopian world.
"It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was sent to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing about 'THE CONCRETE AGE'; a glorious time of stability and abundance in the history of DRAAG," the caption reads. "His Grand Immortal Dictator wishes to celebrate our rich and storied culture, fine foods, and musical entertainments by welcoming you to these great demonstrations of power and resolve.

"And lending voice and song for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their work privilege ceremoniously reinstated, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator's National Band… The Black Parade. Long Live Draag."
The visual's themes diverge from "The Black Parade's" concept, which tells the story and reflections of a man with cancer, called "The Patient."
Mikey Way says 2025 MCR tour 'has been a dream of mine'
The band – which disbanded in 2013 and consists of original members Gerard Way, his brother Mikey Way and guitarist Ray Toro, as well as guitarist Frank Iero – last toured during their 2022 Reunion Tour, which had seen several COVID-19-related setbacks since its 2019 announcement. They also shared their first new release since 2014, "The Foundations of Decay," in 2022.
Mikey Way and Iero took to their Instagram Stories to share their excitement about this new chapter for MCR.
"What a long and wonderful journey this has been," Mikey Way wrote in his Story. He added, "Currently feeling an overwhelming loss for words. So I'll start with this… THANK YOU."
"To say this has been a dream of mine is quite the understatement," he continued in an ensuing post. "I can't believe we get to do this! Here's to summer 2025, with my brothers, with my friends and with all of you. Long live The Black Parade!"
"8 years ago I had a dream mychem played Metlife Stadium. Today we announce the show I dreamt of … New Jersey Forever," Iero wrote in his Instagram Story.
Last month, MCR returned to the stage at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas to perform "The Black Parade" from top to bottom. As a treat for longtime fans and emo-kids-at-heart, the encore included “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Helena” from their sophomore album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge."
